The heady scent of spices, the puzzling labyrinth of Stone Town?s narrow streets, the stunning beaches? just 35km off shore from Tanzania and 6 degrees south of the Equator... Zanzibar is an amazing mix of Arabic, African and European civilizations. The name of Zanzibar alone evokes wondrous images and intrigue, captivates the imagination and is considered by some to be the number one beach location in East Africa (if not in the world!).

Relatively unspoilt, the island is seen as a best kept secret with magical, palm-lined beaches, small fishing villages and the fabulous historical capital, Stone Town. Its cultural history goes back centuries and attracts tourists, as well as artists, musicians and poets.
